Join us for a provocative conversation about artistic identity and filmmaking featuring Michael Mittelstaedt, Division Director of Film and New Media at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Attendees will learn to curate their key influences and develop their artistic identities in order to better access their creative ideas in visual storytelling.

Michael Mittelstaedt is a filmmaker, educator and father. For 15 years, he has served as the Director of the Motion Picture Arts Division at Interlochen Center for the Arts, translating his career of producing and directing television and documentary in Chicago into the development of a film school for ambitious young artists. He is deeply invested in topics of community and identity as they relate to creative and personal development, and was selected to present on the topics of creative identity, collaboration and the arts at SXSWEDU in 2019.
