About the director:
Sunny Mohajer is an emerging writer and director from Vancouver, BC. She holds a BA in Motion Picture Arts from Capilano University.
A brief Interview with Sunny:
Why did you decide to make this film?
This film is inspired by a short story written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. At the time, I was fascinated with experimental filmmaking, animation, and visual storytelling. Therefore, I combined all these elements with the theme I had in mind to create The Yellow Wallpaper.
What was your favourite part about making it?
The development phase was definitely my favourite. We had many meetings with animators, VFX artists, and dancers to talk about what was possible and the script was revised many times.
What are you working on right now?
Currently, I have a few short scripts I’ve written that are going through revisions. These four short scripts will be shot within the next six months. I’m also working on a short play with a colleague.
