NFFTY WELCOMES STEFANIE MALONE AS RETURNING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
NFFTY is excited to welcome back Stefanie Malone as the Executive Director for the 2024 festival season. Stefanie has a long history with NFFTY as our former Executive Director and then Board member. We’re happy to have her back at the helm for this year’s festival. And now a few words from Stefanie:
“I'm thrilled to be returning to NFFTY as the Executive Director, in support of the 2024 festival and to continue running this incredible film festival for talented young filmmakers. Some of you may remember me from previous festivals when I served as the Executive Director of NFFTY from 2013 - 2017 - some things have changed but NFFTY remains committed to providing a unique platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, gain recognition, and meet future collaborators. It's a breeding ground for fresh, innovative voices in the film industry. Being part of an organization that nurtures these talents is tremendously rewarding. The excitement and enthusiasm of these filmmakers are contagious, and witnessing their artistry and success is a source of great joy for me!
NFFTY plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between aspiring filmmakers and industry professionals. Through workshops, panels, and networking opportunities, we empower these filmmakers with knowledge, skills, and connections that are invaluable as they pursue their careers in film.
I’m glad to be back in the saddle and working to support this next festival! NFFTY is not only important for the future of filmmaking but also for society as a whole, as it supports the voices of the next generation of storytellers and contributes to the evolution of our cultural landscape. Here's to the continued success of NFFTY! Long live NFFTY!”
