Steps of Valor follows a pregnant MBA student in the ‘90s whose due date conflicts with her final finance exam; however, her male professor won’t make any accommodations. Determined to create a better life for her Mexican-American family, Valentina takes the exam despite giving birth only three days before it. Inspired by the true story of the director’s birth.
