
Michael Wells
Michael Wells is a South Bronx-based writer. He has worked as an educator, music industry assistant, and technical artist. He holds a BS in Film & Television Production from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program (Brooklyn College) and an MA in Commercial Production from the New York Institute of Technology. He has been recognized as a VONA alumnus, a semifinalist in the Screencraft Television Pilot Competition (2023), and a 2nd Rounder at the Austin Film Festival (2022 Pilot Competition). Currently, he is represented by HG Literary as he works on his debut graphic novel and a YA novel, which further cements his position as a talented and promising writer in the industry, poised to make a significant impact in the world of literature and beyond.

Nifemi Madarikan
Nifemi Madarikan creates stories that explore interpersonal relationships that heal, transform, support, and challenge us. Nifemi cares about agency, resistance, and accountability - particularly in BIPOC communities, she is currently based in Seattle, WA.

Aviv Rubinstien
Aviv Rubinstien is a Philly-native filmmaker and educator living and working in Los Angeles.
With an MFA from Boston University, Aviv has written and directed several genre-jumping feature films both in the United States and Southeast Asia. He teaches screenwriting and filmmaking at Emerson College, and Hussian College Los Angeles and formerly New York Film Academy, and the University of Rhode Island. Aviv leads a double life as a musician, lead singer of rock and roll band Jacob the Horse.

DR. SUMMER PERVEZ (THEY/THEM)
A Punjabi born in Saudi Arabia to Pakistani parents, Summer grew up in multiple countries and was educated in American schools. They hold a PhD in English from the University of Ottawa, and taught in various universities in Canada and Pakistan from 2002-2020. Their academic specialization is in World Literature and Film (with a focus on South Asia), and they currently teach screenwriting in the Writing for Film, TV & Games department at Vancouver Film School. They are currently working on a monograph on contemporary Pakistani TV dramas. Along with research and teaching, they are also a working screenwriter/filmmaker (shorts, features, and docs).
